برخلاف حيوانات خون گرمي که لايه اي از مو يا پوست کلفت براي گرم نگه داشتن خود دارند انسانها نياز به يک لايه اضافي از لباس دارند تا زماني که محيط بيرون سرد است آنها را گرم نگهدارد . بدون آن لايه اضافي از لباس بدن شما بيش از آنکه حرارت توليد مي کند حرارت را از دست خواهد داد . اگر حرارت زيادي از دست برود نتيجه آن هيپوترمي خواهد بود . قرار گرفتن در معرض آب سرد و همچنين بعضي بيماريها نيزمي توانند باعث هيپوترمي شوند .

هيپوترمي زماني رخ مي دهد که مکانيسم هاي کنترل بدن شما قادر به حفظ درجه حرارت طبيعي بدن نيستند . درجه حرارت مرکزي بدن شما بطور طبيعي حدود ۳۷ درجه سانتيگراد مي باشد . درجه حرارت داخلي حدود ۳۵ درجه سانتيگراد يا کمتر نشانگر هيپوترمي است .

خودآگاهی ، توانایی شناخت و آگاهی از خصوصیات ، نقاط ضعف و قدرت ، خواسته ها ، ترس و انزجار است. رشد خودآگاهی به فرد کمک می کند تا دریابد تحت استرس قرار دارد یا نه و این معمولا پیش شرط ضروری روابط اجتماعی و روابط بین فردی مؤثر و همدلانه است.

 همدلی

همدلی یعنی اینکه فرد بتواند زندگی دیگران را حتی زمانی که در آن شرایط قرار ندارد  درک کند. همدلی به فرد کمک می کند تا بتوانند انسانهای دیگر را حتی وقتی با آنها متفاوت است بپذیرد و به آنها احترام گذارد. همدلی روابط اجتماعی را بهبود می بخشد و به ایجار رفتارهای حمایت کننده و پذیرنده ، نسبت به انسان های دیگر منجر می شود.

 ارتباط مؤثر

این توانایی به فرد کمک می کند تا بتواند کلامی و غیر کلامی و مناسب با فرهنگ ، جامعه و موقعیت، خود را بیان کند بدین معنی که فرد بتواندنظرها ، عقاید ، خواسته ها ، ......
